It’s time for another Design Team Call and we want you! We are looking for a total of 8 Designers! Are you Creative? Do you have a passion for Scrapbooking? Do you love sketches?Then send in your application! Submissions will be taken today until July 8 2009. The Names of our New Designers will be posted on our blog Fri. July 10/09. Be ready for your first reveal on August 2/09.

Please include in your application:

Well, my mojo is still missing and if it's not back by the first of next week, check back and I might be offering a reward to the person who finds it and sends it back. The new job has been going well and this is going to be such a great help for hubby and me. I just completed my first week and I am really liking the work so far. I think I have finally got things organized so I know how to schedule things so I have plenty of time for work and also for my scrapping....so now I just need some mojo!!!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day. Ours was a rainy holiday, but we spent the day watching movies and just spending the day together. We got to spend Saturday evening with our favorite soldier, Trev and had a wonderful evening just hanging out, chatting and eating pizza. We are so thankful that he is home safe and sound and we pray every day for the safe and swift return of all our troops.

I was hoping for a return of my scrapping mojo over the long holiday weekend, but as you can see, that didn't happen. Things have been up in the air with my new job and some health issues with the hubs for the last few weeks and I just can't seem to get my head back in the game. Send me some mojo if you have any extra...please!!!! Have a wonderful week everyone!!! {{{HUGS}}}

Changes...Changes....Changes!!!!

Well, as you can see by the looks of things around here, things are a changin'! So how do you like the new look? I have been such a bad blogger lately, so I thought a whole new look would give me some motivation. I sat down at my computer yesterday and got started and it didn't take too long for me to remember that I DON'T DO THIS COMPUTER STUFF!!!!!!! I get way too frustrated too easily, which is definately not good for my stress levels and even more so....not good for my hubby's! Thank goodness I have an awesome friend that I knew I could call and she would come to my "blogging rescue"!!! (Hubby and the kittys were also very grateful!) Yes....my dear, sweet, understanding, thoughtful, helpful and just all around great friend, TAM came to my rescue! She patiently tried talking me through the steps to get this all accomplished but between my computer not cooperating and my brain definately not working in the correct mode, the stress level was not good for either of us. Tam had me email her all the files I had purchased, my logins and passwords for my accounts and told me to step away from my computer and take a breather. It wasn't long before the phone rang and she had me get back on my computer and I was thrilled to find that it was all done and just beautiful! All I had to do was put my sidebar info back in and I was set to go! Isn't she just the BEST???

I am sending out some huge {{{HUGS}}} and huge THANKS to my dear friend Tam and I want her to know how very much "I wub her!"

The next change I am excited about is that I am going back to work...finally...WAHOO!!!! You have no idea what a help this will be for our finances and budget and will make a difference in our lives for the better. I have accepted a position with a transportation company that provides medical transportation for patients with that need. I will be doing the billing for their transportation to insurances, medicare, medicaid, etc...and the very best part is that I can do it right from my own home. All their billing is done online......WAHOO, again! I am beyond thrilled and can't wait to get started. I have to travel on Wednesday evening to sign my contracts and then have one more training session and then I can get started! I will be able to work whatever hours I want, and as some of you that know me well....that could be at 2 am...LOL! I'll keep you updated on how it's going!

My scrap mojo has been hiding out from me for the past could of weeks, but the things below are the things that I did manage to accomplish at the Spring Fling Crop at Back Porch Memories, back at the beginning of May. It was a wonderful crop and the girls at BPM did an awesome job. I have been hanging out there a bit since the crop and getting to know the ladies over there. There are several ladies there that I have been friends with for a long time, so it's great to have another place to hang out with them. They are all so wonderfully talented and I am getting alot of inspiration from them all. My sweet friend, Deb, has recently joined the Design Team at BPM and she is doing such a wonderful job.

I started a diet and exercise program a few weeks ago and that is another change that I have made in my life recently. The past year or so has been filled with so many health issues and the weight has added on with my lack of being able to exercise, medications, etc.....and I am hoping to make a big change in my life with this also. Wish me luck!!!

I am not someone that will blog everyday because, well....my life it just a tad boring for most and I am not at all good with witty banter.....but I do plan on posting at least once a week and letting you know what is going on and showing you my creations if there are any. I was thrilled to be asked by my friend Lainey to be a guest poster on her Lainey's Altered Ego/GBC Blog. She has asked me to create and post some sketches on her blog, which she will be calling.....Sketchy Sunday! She has also asked my dear friend Tam to be a guest poster as well. Tam will be posting about getting older photos scrappped (and she doesn't mean heritage) and she will be calling that.....Timeless Tuesday! Tam has already made her first guest post this past Tuesday and you can check it out HERE! Today was my first Sketchy Sunday so make sure to head on over there and check out my sketch and also the layouts that Lainey, Tam and I have done.

Also make sure to head on over to Creative Scrappers for more of their Birthday Bash Celebration that will continue through this week and end on Sunday, May 3rd at midnight EST! There are so many wonderful things happening this week, so check it out for details about the One Hour Layout Contest on Tuesday night, the Mystery Layout Contest on Thursday night, the Make 'n' Take on Friday morning and a very fun Scavenger Hunt hosted by yours truly on Saturday at noon. Happy Birthday Creative Scrappers!!!!

It's hard to believe that it's Creative Scrappers 1st Birthday. It seems like only yesterday that Kristine Davidson started a Creative Scrappers Blog and also the wonderful Message Board. Her community has grown in leaps and bounds and I have loved being part of it since it's very beginning! I have served on her Design Team for 2 terms and am now the Challenge Coordinator and also an Admin on her board to help out with a few things when needed. Thanks Kristine for a wonderful 1st year!!!

To celebrate this 1st year Creative Scrappers is holding a huge BIRTHDAY BASH CROP that started on Sunday April 19th and will continue until midnight on Sunday May 3rd! This is an awesome crop full of challenges, games, contests, make 'n' takes and prizes galore. Kristine has made up a special calender you can download so you won't have to miss out on any of the fun. Make sure to check out all the fun we will be having over there and come and be part of it. I personally will be hosting a Birthday Bash Bingo game on Wednesday, April 22nd at 9:00 EST and you definately don't want to miss it.

Just running a tad behind on the blog but wanted to show you the newest sketch over at Creative Scrappers and what I had created with it. This is my last sketch as a DT member for this term and I have so enjoyed being on the team and working with such talented ladies for the last two terms. It's time to take a break and get alot of projects I have been wanting to do finished but I will continue on over at Creative Scrappers being a part of the Admin Team and also the Challenge Coordinator. I had a wonderful time with the awesome March 2009 Kit at Go. Be Creative. It was full of Pink Paislee-Captivating goodness, along with some Jenni Bowlin, Prima and some yummy buttons! (Everyone knows how much Lainey loved buttons...LOL!) I would love to tell you to head on ever at get one of these wonderfu kits, but they are SOLD OUT! Lainey and Tam did so many awesome creations with this kit, so make sure to check out their blogs and see what all they have done. Sunday are always my favorite day of the week because it's the one day I can count on spending with my hubby and there is always a wonderful reveal to check out over at Creative Scrappers. This week's sketch #39 was designed by Jen Patrick and it is yummy! I had a blast with this sketch and used my Go. Be Creative Feb. Kit to do my layout. Of course, with Valentines Day to celebrate this weekend, I had to do a layout about my favorite Valentine!

It's Reveal Day At Creative Scrappers!

It's another wonderful Sunday and that means another wonderful Design Team Reveal over at Creative Scrappers. This is the first reveal of the New Year and the ladies on Team E have done a wonderful job with a great sketch by Cherie Avrill. Make sure to check them all out here. I totally enjoyed this sketch and hope you like my take on it.

RESOLUTIONS......In My Perfect World!!! (NAH!!!) Journaling reads......

1.) I will not procrastinate and leave things until the last minute. 2.) I will be more organized in all aspects of my life. 3.) I will eat only foods that are good for me and leave the junk food behind. 4.) I will not spend so much time on my computer. 5.) I will cut down on my coffee intake. 6.) I will cut back on the time I spend chatting on the phone. 7.) I will put housework and laundry before all the fun stuff. 8.) I will not buy any more scrapbook supplies until I use up my stash. 9.) I will exercise everyday. 10.) I will be perfectly sweet and lovely each and every day!

Nah!.......I think I will just be me!!!

Well, 2009 is finally here and I have had a wonderful start to my year. I had gotten a call a few weeks ago from Lainey at Go. Be Creative and she has asked me to join her Creative Team, and I graciously accepted. I am looking so forward to working closely with Lainey and Tam in this new year. They are both wonderful ladies, great friends and full of such awesome talent. All the ladies I have come to know over at Go. Be Creative are just the sweetest, and I am looking forward to spending 2009 creating and having fun with all of them. I big huge thanks to Lainey and Tam for all the confidence they have in me and all the support they give me each day!

Well, one of the things I find that is the hardest for me and I want so desparately to do better is my journaling, or story telling, if you will. I totally suck at it actually, and therefore only hide most of my journaling on the back of my layouts. I saw a post about this over at Go Be Creative so I checked it out and believe it or not...I signed up!!! I have heard such wonderful things about some of Jessica Sprague's classes so I thought that trying this one out would be great.....and it's FREE!!!!! I have been a bad blogger and am a little behind in my updates, but hope to keep up a little better in the future. Creative Scrappers is having a 2 day contest to kick off National Breast Cancer Awareness Month that started on Friday and will end today, the 26th at 4pm EST! Here is the layout that I did for the contest using the sketch provided by our lovely Kristine Davidson! I took a little creative license with this sketch, but I promise it's in there if you look really close....LOL!

The rules of the contest are pretty simple:

- Complete the sketch

- Upload your layouts in the contest section of our gallery

- A RANDOM draw for a prize will be head amongst ALL Participants including DT members

- NO voting will take place

- Deadline for submission is Sunday at 4pm est.

- Winner will be announced in our newsletter

World Cardmaking Day is coming up on Saturday, October 4th and we are going to celebrate over at Creative Scrappers with a Cardmaking Day Crop! It will get started at 9Am EST and continue until midnight. There will be sketches, challenges and prizes.......and you won't want to miss it!!!

I will be hosting 2 card challenges myself with sketches, so this week I have been working on teaching myself how to make a sketch on my computer. Well............I am so NOT computer savy, and it has been a slow going, trial and error, but I finally found an old program I forgot I had and have made 3 card sketches so far. They are very simple sketches, but I am feeling rather proud of myself, nonetheless. Unfortunately, I will have to keep them under wraps until I post them at Creative Scrappers on October 4th, so come by the Crop and check it out. There will be a ton of great card sketches that day and I know that I am planning on using them to get started making my Christmas cards for this year. I hope to see you there!!!

The weather here has been wonderfully cool since Ike moved through on Sunday. There is such a crispness of Fall already, and I have to say that I am more than ready for it. The only bad thing about Fall getting here is that Christmas is soon to follow and I am NOT in any way ready for that. I have been working on planning out some Christmas gifts I am making and gathering supplies for those. Big thanks to my buddy Tam for hooking me up with a more than overly generous RAK that will be such a big help with some of the gifts this year. I luv ya girlie!!!!

Happy Labor Day!!! I am just a tad behind posting on my blog and need to get my butt in gear and get caught up and also need to get alot of scrapping done this week....so stay tuned!

Then new Sketch #15 along with the DT Reveal was posted on the board as well as the blog at Creative Scrappers yesterday, and this new sketch will not disappoint. It was made by our very talented Lucy Chesna and I can't wait to work on this one. This will be the last sketch reveal of the current Design Team and the new teams will be starting with next week's sketch. This current team has been an absolute definition of talent, creativity and inspiration and they have done a wonderful job. I have enjoyed all of their works so very much.

There so so many new and exciting things going on over at Creative Scrappers so I hope you will come on over and check it out. I will post some more details of some of the happenings over the next few days. Enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend everyone!!!!

Ok everyone...I am feeling the love today for sure. Deb, a dear friend of mine that I have known from a couple of different message boards, so wonderfully gave me a Wylde Women Award on her blog. This is the sketch and my layout for the Scrappy Donna Sketch Contest at Creative Scrappers and the same sketch is also being used for the Weekly Sketch Challenge #11. I took tons of pictures of my youngest granddaughter one day and though alot of them are similiar, she has a unique look in each of the 6 I kept, so I have felt the need to scrap them all....LOL! I can't see why anyone would get tired of seeing that sweet little face...but then again...I may be a little bit biased!

It's finally cooling off a bit.......Wahoo! It is only in the low 80's with hardly no humidity and a wonderful breeze and I couldn't be happier. I took a long walk this morning and am hoping to take another this evening. I really need to get back to my walking, but it's just been to darn humid to even breath outside. I picked a whole pail of fresh green beans along with other veggies and the beans will be slow cooking on the stove to have with dinner....YUM! After that I can finally head to my scrap room for the evening and work on a layout I am doing for a contest over at Creative Scrappers. Check the contest and sketch details out here!

I have been really busy scrap-wise this last week or so and these are some of my faves. The wonderful "Sketchfest" at Creative Scrappers really got my mojo going and with all the wonderful challenges and sketches I completed 13 layouts and a few cards in less than a week....Whew!!! Deb Harter put together some really fun games and I was lucky enough to have won a Cosmo Cricket Paper pack in the Scavenger Hunt. They had alot of daily drawings and gave away alot of really cool prizes. I was so excited to find out I won the last drawing from all the sketch challenges submitted and won a wonderful monthly kit from Freckle Friends. I was thrilled to get so much done and want to thanks Kristine, Deb, Deanne and all the wonderful sketch designers for all their hard work. I think it was huge success.

Well, here it is......finally! All of my friends have been after me for so long to get this done and I decided if I wanted some peace, I'd better do it!!! (You know who you are!!!!) Anyway, this is my first post and I still have tons of stuff I have to learn how to do, but at least it's here.
